SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS POLICY

At Ron Dorff we have set ambitious sustainability and ethical goals for the years ahead. From the people making our products to the fabrics we use, right through to how we minimise transport around the globe and our overall impact on climate.

LIMITING WASTE THROUGH DURABILITY AND RECYCLING

Ron Dorff represents timeless, high-quality menswear that stands the test of time in terms of quality and style. A concept that highlights durability, which has been at the heart of our garments since the brand launched 10 years ago. Whenever possible, we make sure that the fabrics we use are recycled and can be easily recycled in the future. Recycled polyester in our swimwear, recycled paper in our shopping bags and online boxes are only some of the examples. We are on a journey and know it can not be achieved overnight, but we are on the right path.

KEEPING THINGS CLOSE TO HOME

We always source suppliers as close as possible to our warehouse outside Paris. 80% of our production is made in Europe : in France, Portugal and Spain. All production is transported by train or by truck.

Ron Dorff only works with transportation partners who are able to disclose the carbon footprint of freights and we are actively working on reducing the environmental impact of transport. For France we work with Colissimo, the subsidiary of the French Post, and for the rest of the world exclusively with DHL. Both leaders in their field.

CODE OF LABOUR PRACTICES FOR SUPPLIERS

All European suppliers working with Ron Dorff respect the rigorous labour laws of the European Union. As for our suppliers outside the EU, they all adhere to our global code of labour practices for suppliers. The code stipulates minimum requirements for working conditions based on the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and UN principles. This includes the right of all workers to join trade unions, the right to a living wage, reasonable hours of work, safe working conditions and a legally binding employment contract. Child labour and all forms of discrimination are strictly banned.

TRANSPARENT SUPPLY CHAINS

As a brand with a strong focus on sustainable design, we strive to be open about our processes. Through transparency we can ensure that customers know how all of our products are manufactured. Should you want to visit any of our production sites, you are most welcome. Simply contact us at info@rondorff.com, and we will be happy to set up a visit.
